PREPARED FOR TRACEY

SAGE

Turn the conversation into a lasting consumer relationship.

A practical point of view on profitable revenue, known buyers and a growth system that keeps working after the season ends.

Prepared by Agilidy. A proposed approach, not an existing engagement with Sage.

A PERSONAL VIDEO FOR TRACEY

A little bold. A personal approach.

I’m a singer-songwriter who believes in connecting people through music, having fun and taking a creative approach to getting results. Here’s why I wanted to put this brief in front of you.

A PERSONAL NOTE

Tracey, this looked like a situation where I could help.

I work with a handful of clients and do my own research into businesses where I think I can make a difference. Sage caught my attention because it connects something I care about: turning a brand’s story into a relationship we can learn from and act on.

After 25+ years in marketing, sales and technology leadership, I built Agilidy around a practical model: get in, own the outcome, deliver results, and help recruit and hand off to the long-term owner when the time is right. This is what I would explore with you.

THE LOST CONSUMER · ADAPTED FOR SAGE

A sale and a consumer understood are two different achievements.

The opportunity is to connect discovery, purchase and useful follow-up. Immediate execution creates sales opportunities; consumer intelligence helps us learn which efforts deserve the next dollar.

01

Known

A person has chosen to identify themselves and given permission for a specific relationship. A newsletter signup or QR scan is not proof of buying.

02

Verified buyer

An authorized order or validated receipt connects a person to a purchase. Retail spending and the contribution Sage keeps are different measures.

03

Repeat buyer

More than one observed purchase in a defined window. Learn what drives another purchase, and test whether our follow-up changes the outcome.

THE COMMERCIAL STARTING POINT

Make the revenue program the first working proof.

The priority is profitable, repeatable revenue from the buyers Sage already attracts. We would connect the offer, audience, purchasing path and follow-up around an agreed contribution target.

Personal and corporate gifting

Separate buyer needs, delivery expectations and follow-up. Prioritize offers we can actually fulfill.

Collectors and limited releases

Use stated interests and observed buying to make release communication relevant. Protect margin before expanding discounts.

Events and founder visibility

Give adults a useful reason to connect, then measure the path to an eligible purchase.

THE FIRST QUESTION

Can we connect the purchase to the person?

We would map what Sage receives today: purchaser identity, order status, product, geography, attribution and permission. The public website does not establish the completeness of those feeds or the CRM already in place.

One consumer history. Clear evidence.

  • Connect Shopify and permitted partner transactions.
  • Keep marketing permissions and gift recipients distinct.
  • Reflect actual purchasing eligibility and availability.
  • Record service and event context where useful and authorized.
  • Choose technology after the data and economics are understood.

ILLUSTRATIVE DEMONSTRATION · FICTIONAL PROFILES

What knowing the consumer changes.

Three situations, three different actions. This demonstration contains no Sage customer data or live integrations.

CONSUMER CONTEXT

What we measureEvent-to-verified-buyer conversion

What we know

Email permission and home ZIP captured through an optional recipe follow-up.

What buying proves

No transaction evidence yet. A scan shows interest, not a purchase.

What we do next

Send the requested recipe and an eligible purchase path. Attribute an order only when authorized transaction data confirms it.

A RELEVANT SPIRITS PRECEDENT

Campari connected the bar receipt to a richer consumer profile.

Microsoft’s 2022 Campari story describes an Aperol campaign where consumers uploaded bar receipts, AI Builder checked them, and Customer Insights supported richer profiles and personalized journeys.

The lesson for Sage is the purchase-to-person connection. The right first build should fit Sage’s scale, existing tools and partner arrangements.

WHAT WE WOULD MEASURE

Revenue matters. Contribution decides what scales.

  • Conversion and contribution by purchase pathway
  • Acquisition cost per incremental verified buyer
  • Event engagement linked to observed orders
  • Repeat buying in a declared observation window
  • Incremental contribution after media, fulfillment, partner fees and program cost

Targets follow the baseline. Existing sales are not automatically credited to CRM, and a contact list does not carry a fixed dollar value.

IF I OWNED THE OUTCOME

90 days to execute, learn and establish durable ownership.

Days 1–30

Baseline and activate

Map tools, partner data and vendor responsibilities. Agree revenue and contribution targets. Fix the most important purchase barriers and activate the selling calendar and essential CRM journeys.

A working plan and a reliable baseline.

Days 31–60

Connect and improve

Coordinate offers, creative, landing pages and fulfillment. Launch useful event capture and buyer segments. Test priority journeys with actual purchasing evidence.

One accountable weekly commercial operating rhythm.

Days 61–90

Prove and hand off

Compare results with the baseline and suitable controls. Scale the journeys with credible economics. Document playbooks, budget needs and the long-term ownership role.

A forward growth plan and an operating system the team can own.

Proposed sequence. Seasonal deadlines, inventory and accessible data determine the exact launch order.

WHY AGILIDY

A fractional leader who connects the business and the build.

I bring 25+ years in marketing, sales and technology leadership, including twelve years at Microsoft and deep CRM experience. I take responsibility for the commercial plan, connect the partners and use AI-supported implementation where it reduces time to value.

We would agree what I own, what your existing partners execute and where specialist capacity is needed. If a permanent owner is the right next step, I help recruit, onboard and hand off with the workflows and measures already operating.

What I would want to understand together

  • Which offers and channels have the strongest contribution?
  • How much purchaser data is usable today?
  • What inventory and delivery promises can partners support?
  • Which campaigns and lifecycle journeys already work?
  • Who owns creative, media, customer service and commercial decisions?

A CONVERSATION TO START

What if growth also built the foundation for next year?

I’d welcome your feedback on this point of view and where you see the greatest opportunity. Is there a good time next week to connect for a few minutes if this is of interest?
